Il mondo internazionale del campeggio premia il "padre della tendenza glamping"

ADAC concede all'olandese Loek van de Loo il 'HALL OF FAME AWARD'

International camping world rewards 'father of the glamping trend'
ADAC IS GRANTING DUTCH LOEK FROM THE LOO 'HALL OF FAME AWARD' Amsterdam, January 20, 2020 - The German ADAC, the counterpart of the Dutch ANWB, presented the Hall of Fame Award to the Dutch Loek van de Loo during the Holiday Fair CMT 2020 in Stuttgart. Van de Loo received this prize from the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club, 20.8 million members) as a tribute to his innovative and creative activities within the international camping industry. In the 35 years the jury praised that Van de Loo has been active, his foresight, his enterpreneurship and his relentless energy, which have made many innovations within the European camping industry possible.
Uwe Frers, director of ADAC Camping, who presented the prize, regards Van de Loo as the father of the European glamping trend. "Throughout Europe, he encouraged camping owners to replace tents and caravans with luxury glamping accommodations." Vacanceselect, the company that Van de Loo started in 1984, was praised by Frers as one of the leading international holiday companies. Van de Loo also introduced unique glamping accommodation almost every year since 2008. Frers also pointed to Van de Loo's digital efforts: "He was one of the first in Europe to recognize the digital possibilities for the camping industry and was a pioneer of online camping portals and the use of social media for consumers," said Frers. Thankful but combative
Van de Loo feels proud, but still very competitive. "I am very grateful to the camping world for this prize. I sincerely hope that camping owners will continue to stick their necks out and keep changing. Consumers are making more and more luxurious demands, and are also increasingly erratic in their choices. with Airbnbs, hotels and 'far away' destinations. " Van de Loo himself adds act to the word. Shortly after he sold his company Vacanceselect to the French company Vacalians (2018), Van de Loo founded the (Italian) glamping brand Vacanze Col Cuore. It now consists of three glamping resorts, three camping boutiques and a park residence, located on Lake Garda and Lake Idro and in Tuscany inland and on the coast. The youngest loot on the trunk is the glamping resort 'Vallicella', between the Italian cities of Pisa and Grosseto. In the middle of a hundred-year-old olive grove there are now around 180 luxury and stylish glamping accommodations, each of which meets the highest glamping standard. Van de Loo realized his most recent innovation here. Last August he opened the longest (130 meter) camping slide in Italy.
